New hall, the most populated hostel in university of Lagos,
was yesterday at about 7pm turned into a bloody ground when two unidentified
persons hit a student on the head along Sodeinde - Eni Njoku Hall.
Both students fell to the ground with blood gushing out of
their heads, the two most notorious persons who carried out this inhumane act
were however not confirmed to be arrested as at the time of compiling this
report.
After the incident, the security men who were around the
scene could not do anything or carry out any arrest on the spot but few minutes
after they had gone, the security men were seen arguing among themselves.
The hall managers, facility managers and hall supervisors
however, condemn this act and challenged the security operatives of the school
to be always functional and well – equipped in curbing crime on campus. “We
cannot put the safety of students on campus in danger and allow everyone move
about on campus with fear”, they lamented.
