In a bid to thoroughly eliminate examination malpractices
and other short-comings experienced in the unified tertiary matriculation
examinations (UTME), The regulatory board, JAMB, has decided to introduce three
options for the UTME 2013.
This, I believe will also help Nigerian students to be
information communication technology-complaint. The board has decided to
introduce two other options entirely different from the usual pen and paper
test.
Thus, all tertiary institutions aspirant, and 2013 UTME
candidates should please be aware that the three available examination options
are:
- PPT- PAPER AND PENCIL TEST
In this type of test, candidates will be subjected to shade
in an OMR sheet to be provided by JAMB with their pencil and a question paper
attached.
- DBT- DIBU BASED TEST
In this case, questions will be presented on computers and
candidates will be required to provide answers on paper
- CBT- COMPUTER BASED TEST
Candidates that select this option will have both
examination questions and provision of answers
done on computer
Candidates are free to choose any of the options written
above to the best of convenience and conversance. The examinations results will
also be released thirty minutes after the examination for candidates who take
part in the computer based test. Hence, all candidates are advised to study and
prepare hard for the examination.
