In a bid to
put an end to examination issues emanating from examination malpractices, pending
results, delay in release of examination results, logistics error and
mechanical faults, result blackouts etc, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation
Board has put in place several strategies to this end.
The JAMB
registrar, Professor Dibu Ojerinde and Minister for education, Professor
Ruqayyatu Rufa’i, in a meeting with stakeholders in the education sector,
assured participants and the gedneral public that 2013 UTME will be effective
in enhancing accurate evaluation of candidate’s competency. To this end, JAMB
has collaborated with security operatives and the Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission (EFCC).
He also
declared that any candidate caught and found guilty of impersonation,
examination malpractices and other related offence will dance to the tune of music
by facing a likely 2 years jail term.
One interesting
thing the registrar said concerning 2013 UTME was that candidates who
participate in the online examination commonly referrred to as computer based
test(CBT), will have their results released within 30 minutes after the
examination.
He also assured
all present that all measures have been put in place to ensure uninterrupted power
